Hofner 462 1960

$2,750.00

A rare and up-market Hofner model, the 462’s elegant art deco lines were designed by Roger Rosmersell before he went on to work with Rickenbacker and Fender.  The classic 16″ wide body single cut away carved spruce top with the distinctive bound cateseye f-holes, with two original Hofner H518 ‘Toaster’ pickups as used by the company in the period 1960-61. The compensated tailpiece, carved pearloid pickguard and indeed all hardware items are original and in excellent comditioon.  A very cool and rare Hofner model, that plays well with good neck set and low action.   Electronics are serviced and fully functional. Comes with 1960s Stamford two-tone hard case as shown.
