Fender Telecaster Plus Version1 1992

$1,995.00

Fender 1992 Telecaster Plus Version 1

This guitar has a non-original neck and new Lace Sensor pickups. We believe the body is an original Fender however we haven’t been able to absolutely verify this, so we refer to it as a Partscaster and it is priced accordingly.

Nevertheless…this is a great playing Tele with striking looks, and containing Lace Sensor pickups as per the specification for the Telecaster Plus (Version One) which was “Dually Red-Red” in the bridge position and “Blue” in the neck position. The Dually bridge/single neck pickup configuration was also used by Fender during approximately the same time period (1989-1995) in its Fender Stratocaster Ultra and Fender Jeff Beck Stratocaster models.

The Telecaster Plus (Version Two) is most-often rumoured to have come with three “Gold” Lace Sensor pickups due to the gold lettering on their covers. However, the pickups actually used on the guitar were a T-100 pickup in the bridge, a non-RWRP Chrome Dome Strat pickup in the middle and a TN-100 in the neck. The T-100 bridge pickup eventually became the hotter T-150 Lace sells today.  If you are into Teles and experimenting with noiseless Fender pickups, here’s a great playing option.
