Here we have a Tokai LS136 that really does capture the look, feel and tone of a vintage Les Paul. Consider the soft Violin Finish lacquer, the faded ‘Old Sunburst’ top, the structural components of Canadian maple top, Mahogany body, one-piece Mahogany set neck with late-50s deep C profile, bound rosewood fretboard, bone nut etc. Then the hardware is also high end made in house by Tokai: Kluson style tuners, Tune-O-Matic style bridge with brass saddles, aluminium tailpiece, two PAF-style alnico 5 humbuckers . The 3-way and jack socket are Switchcraft. This guitar also features Tokai’s Sound Enhanced Body (SEB) concept in which the central portion of three-layer body is made with the Mahogany grain running vertically between the top and the back to enhance vibration transfer through the centre of the body for maximum resonance and sustain. All of the above is in excellent condition, including its elegant Tokai gig bag.
