Maton Alver C1 c. 1966
$1,550.00
Maton made these full bodied single cutaway Alvers in both acoustic and electric form throughout the 1960s. With identical bodies to Maton-labelled versions, Alvers were at a lower price point, lacking the truss rod and some hardware details of their Maton brand cousins. This kept Alver prices down but problems are rare; the Queensland Maple hardwood necks on these are strong and this neck is in good shape. A vintage 1960s Teisco pickup plus pickguard with Volume and Tone set up (tidily installed we believe back in the late ‘60s or ‘70s) works well to create a versatile, playable Aussie vintage archtop guitar. Very lightweight an resonant, a cool Aussie vintage gutiar with a Rockabilly vibe. Comes with hard case of the era.
